Issues surrounding wireless communications have arisen as a result of an increase in popularity and usability. The complexity of modulating signals over carriers is considered to be a significant challenge and Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex has proven to be a popular technology. The discovery of the wavelet transform, while mainly used in image processing applications, has led to a recently proposed, innovative new modulation technique called Orthogonal Wavelet Division Multiplex.
