The article presents a contribution to the issue's forum section debating global education policy to be adopted by UNESCO and UNICEF after 2015 in the wake of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) initiative. This entry discusses the specific role of secondary and higher education within future frameworks. Topics addressed include a review of references to both levels in previous plans, the isolation of higher education from global education movements, and forecasts of continuing shortcomings. |
