The article focuses on several ways of reducing healthcare associated infection (HAIs) by improving the physical environment. It mentions that reducing the number of patients in a room, improving hand hygiene and creating an effective anti-infection culture are the best ways to reduce HAIs. It discusses that heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) technologies help in reducing infections. Physical environment can be improved by maintaining optimum temperature and humidity levels. |
