Evaluation of interleukins 8 and 12, CA15-3 and free circulating DNA as prognostic markers in dogs with mammary tumors.

Abstrakt: The article presents a study which aimed to measure serum levels of interleukin-8, 12, CA 15-3 and to calculate the number of copies of CAN SINE nucleotide sequences to correlate with pathological parameters. As mentioned, the study utilized enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and PCR to evaluate 33 bitches with mammary cancer and 50 control bitches and the results revealed high levels of interleukin-8 in bitches with mammary cancer and were associated with disease progression.
