The article analyzes the potential of nanocarriers as the best medium for antigen delivery and its significance to the global vaccination goal. It states that a variety of biomaterials can be used to prepare nanocarriers for its application as efficient adjuvants for labile and low immunogenic sub-unit antigens. It also presents an overview of the progress of nanoparticle technology in terms of single-dose vaccine formulation and needle-free delivery approaches. |
