The article offers information on various heritage animal breeds that are critically endangered in the U.S. The origin of Santa Cruz sheep's name can be traced to the California Channel Islands. There are less than 500 American Buff goose in the country. Kerry cattle is considered one of the oldest European cattle breeds. Other critically endangered breeds are Poitou donkey and Cleveland Bay horse. |
