The article offers the author's insights on brittle diabetes and its causes. The author says that the frequency of brittleness differs from 10 to 90% of young people with diabetes which is caused by recurrent hypoglycaemia. He mentions that eating disorders are considered the new cause of brittle diabetes due to the high blood glucose levels. He notes that the paper by Judith Steel and Ian Campbell suggests that more effort should be done to address the problems associated with the diabetes. |
