Abstrakt: The article presents an overview of the symptoms, screening and treatment of colorectal cancer, the second most common cancer to affect men and women. Rectal bleeding, change in bowel habits and abdominal pain are some of the common symptoms of bowel cancer, which can be detected and diagnosed by colonoscopy procedure. It mentions the National health Service (NHS) Bowel Cancer Screening Programme which provides faecal occult blood tests (FOBt) kit for early detection of colorectal cancer.
