Abstrakt: Cassia occidentalis (Caesalpiniaceae) is employed in indigenous medicine for liver ailments and is a constituent of polyherbal formulations marketed for liver diseases. An ethanol extract of leaves of this plant was evaluated for its antihepatotoxic activity using carbon tetrachloride and thioacetamide as hepatotoxins. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
