Abstrakt: Hydrocarbonoclastic bacteria often bind to the interface between water and poorly soluble substrates. Response to the initial contact between the cell and the hydrocarbon surface is certainly an important step of the adaptation process to hydrocarbon utilization. Here we describe a methodology applying two-dimensional gel electrophoresis and in vivo radiolabeling of neo-synthesized proteins to investigate proteome reshaping during cell-hydrocarbon interaction.
