The article discusses a research study on evaluating the pulling levers intervention implemented in High Point, North Carolina and its impact on local crime rates and violent gang offenders. Researchers analysed violent crime incidents data from 1998 to 2008 in High Point using the difference-in-difference (DD) regression models, group-based trajectory analysis (GBTA) and Proc Traj procedure. Results showed nonsignificant increase of violent crimes in the targeted areas before the intervention. |
