Abstrakt: | The article discusses a poem "The Pied Piper of Hamelin," by Robert Browning. As stated, Browning has successfully crafted rich straight forward verse that is designed to appeal English school children. It also states that the poem's rats are stock figures and they move in complexly to the tune, in tandem, with the rest of humanity's magical and monstrous brood. It further states that Browning evokes rats to stress the suffering of the people at each others' hands. |
