As some workshops and profile sections running tests over the electrical apparatus of the modern production systems, interest in adjustable current and voltage modular sources is motivated. Such modular power source consists of a voltage-current single-phase transformer with independent ferromagnetic modules, each with its own primary winding and a common secondary winding. In this paper, a three-phase high current source is described and its primary voltage vs. secondary current characteristic is presented. Using this type of power current source, the low voltage circuit breakers have been tested in order to check their protection characteristics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
