The article describes how the U.S. Navy's Tailhook Legacy Flight, an air show that combines historic and modern naval aircraft, is marking the centennial of naval aviation by putting together some special Legacy Flight combinations. It gives a brief history on how the air show was started by the dissimilar formations arranged by Tigercat pilot John Ellis and F-14 Tomcat flier Dale "Snort" Snodgrass. It presents a line-up of the 2011 Legacy Flight air show which will feature former U.S. Navy flight surgeon Richard Sugden and the only flying FJ-4B Fury. |
