Real-Time Small Angle X-ray Scattering measurements are reported on a commercial aluminum-lithium alloy. This material shows a miscibility gap as soon as it is quenched from high to low temperature, with segregation of a Li-rich phase. The SAXS technique confirms as a valid probe to detect structural features in these alloys. Moreover a detailed analysis is presented for the whole SAXS data set, leading to the time dependence of structural parameters. © 2000 American Institute of Physics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
