Abstrakt: The article offers a look at the issues concerning the use of simulation in medical education. Various medical education experts argue that using realistic simulated environment can prepares medical students for critical clinical situations. In addition, regulatory bodies and health care commissioners are beginning to realize the benefits of simulation for student training and patient safety. A brief historical perspective on simulation in the field of medicine is presented, along with evidence on the efficiency of the training provided by simulation. The views of medical experts on the relevance of simulated training to the field of medicine are also cited.
