Abstrakt: The article reports on the U.S.-United Soviet Socialist Republic (U.S.S.R.) dual track meet in Berkeley, California. U.S.S.R. high-jumping star, Vladimir Ilyich Yashchenko was the biggest attraction to the event, having set the world indoor record and the world outdoor mark. In Berkeley, he won the high jump against Fairleigh Dickinson University's Franklin Jacobs. Over-all, the U.S. men and women's teams beat the U.S.S.R.
