The article offers British legal news briefs. The federal government has decided against introducing the Welfare Reform Drug Recovery pilots scheduled to begin in October 2010. The federal government has stopped the next phase of the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) scheme, which is part of the 2006 Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act. Courts have begun using advice from the Sentencing Advisory Panel (SAP) on sentencing for drug offenses. |
