Abstrakt: The article discusses a study to evaluate the efficacy optical coherence tomography (OCT) in imaging lymph nodes in breast cancer intraoperatively in humans. The assessment uses clinical spectral domain OCT system in cancer patients that needs surgical resection. The study concluded that the instrument offers a clear image of the lymph nodes that gives real-time multidimentional images of subsurface tissue structure.
