The article discusses research on the importance of chromosomal aberrations in tumor development. It references several studies including one by geneticist Joseph Testa published in the March 2009 issue of "Cancer Informatics." Testa's medulloblastoma study used statistical methods to distinguish chromosomal abnormalities that drive carcinogenesis, while others sought driver abnormalities in blood cancers and solid tumors. A study by Eytan Domany et al reportedly discovered known chromosomal aberrations in melanoma. |
