Chapter 23 of the book "The Wild Canids: Their Systematics, Behavioral Ecology and Evolution" is presented. It discusses the dynamics of social relationships within a wolf pack in captivity where such factors as age, sex and rank order matter, and alterations of behavior between two wolves occur, which may be due to the season, ontogenetic changes and impact of relations with others. It highlights the five social group classifications and the three categories of social behavior within a wolf pack and how they work out. |
