The article presents the case study of a 51-year old man with stage four burkitt lymphoma. It is stated that he was treated with CODOX-M/ IVAC, a combination of medication, along with rituximab. The patient developed a routine lumbar puncture which showed cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) involvement, which why the medication was later changed to aintrathecal liposomal cytarbine. The patient responded well to the treatment and after one course of chemotherapy, CSF was cleared of the neoplastic cells. |
