Abstrakt: The article presents a study which investigates the effect of condom use in the prevention of the transmission of herpes simple virus 2 (HSV-2). It mentions that the study was conducted through the combination of published data that assessed the relationship of condom use with HSV-2 incidence. It demonstrates that condom users have 30% lower risk compared to those who are not users. The result suggests that condoms offer moderate protection against HSV-2 acquisition both for women and men.
