The article discusses the molecular framework for response to imatinib mesylate in systemic sclerosis with the tyrosine kinase platelet-derived growth factor receptor to contribute to the fibrosis. The study measures the diffuse cutaneous through immunohistochemical analyses of skin biopsy reduction of phosphorylated imatinib therapy. The finding of the study suggests that PDGFR and Abl play an important role in gene expression program with frequently dysregulated in systemic sclerosis. |
