The article focuses on innovations in the designs of removable partial dentures that do not cover gingival tissues. Partial dentures that are compatible with optimal periodontal health, should not cover the gingival margins of the remaining teeth. Researchers have attempted to make dentures in which the denture has been kept away from the gingival tissues. The modified designs include a labial flange that prevents the backward displacement of the denture. Several clasp options are available that can be used by dentists for the last molar teeth by applying a rotational path of insertion. |
