Abstrakt:	The article discusses tissue resistance in periodontal disease. The destructive process associated with the onset of periodontal disease is known but not the pathogens responsible. Specific bacteria such as fusospirochetal bacteria have been found to play a role in oral disease but there is no knowledge of any microorganisms which cause resistance to periodontal disease.
