Abstrakt: The article provides an overview of the study about stool DNA and occult blood testing to screen for colorectal neoplasia. The efficacy of both methods to detect polyps and cancers are compared. It was found that stool DNA tests detected more polyps and cancers than did tests for blood in the stool. Testing stool for DNA abnormalities that control cell growth offers a promising way to screen neoplasia.
