Abstrakt: The article presents a comparison among the Russian student movements for 1905-1917 and the French "Red May" university disturbances in 1968. The author observes that though the Russian student revolutionary activity was by no means limited to a purely student revolution and "Red May" a classic example of student revolution, there exist significant features between the two. The author also explicates the characteristics of student discourse about workers as a dominant trait of the 20th century university thinking.
