Abstrakt: The article highlights the regenerative solid oxide fuel cell (RSOFC) technology of the NASA. RSOFC systems generate its reactants by operating in reverse. NASA seeks to use the technology to pave the way for a more electric commercial aircraft. NASA has been experimenting with SOFC using a YSZ electrolyte turned into a bi-electrode supported cell (BSC). Cell design, testing and electrochemical performance are discussed.
