The article reports on the medical case of a 25-year-old woman with acute pancreatitis and hypotension refractory to aggressive fluid resuscitation. It describes the results of the physical examination on the patient. The patient is diagnosed with abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS), an intraabdominal hypertension (IAH) impeding tissue perfusion and causing end-organ damage. |
