| Abstrakt: |
The article reports on the resolution for the eradication of dracunculiasis which was first adopted in 1986 by the World Health Assembly. There were 3.5 million cases reported in 20 countries and 120 million persons were at risk for the disease. The report shows the continued progress of the dracunculiasis eradication program worldwide from July 2005 to May 2007. The article also presents country reports of the program including Sudan, Ghana and Nigeria. |
