Abstrakt: The article offers information on a nanotechnology developed by BASF to produce a self-cleaning textile. The company's Mincor TX 17 acts as a finishing agent which is capable of producing a nanoporous film. The technology prevents the formation of bonding forces between a particle and a textile surface. The technology is ideal for creating textiles that are used outdoors and are exposed to environmental extremities. The limitations of the technology are discussed, along with the efforts of the company to refine to technology.
