The article discusses the author's views on the paper "Taking Mentality Seriously: A Philosophical Inquiry into the Language of Addiction and Recovery," by Allison Mitchell. The author argues to the notion of Mitchell that an agency is needed to treat addiction. According to him, it is not clear that labeling a person as deficient in agency creates a hierarchy between the nonafflicted and those with disorders. |
