The article reports on the partnership between Time Warner Cable Inc., Minnesota Public Television and government agencies in the production of television programs in Hmong language in Wisconsin. The "Bridging Hmong American," "Fishing in Wisconsin and Food Safety" and another on hunter safety were aired. The initiatives were undertaken due to the difficulty of Hmong immigrants and the community to interact with each other. Furthermore, programs on domestic violence, staying home alone and mental health issues are also produced by Catholic Charities. The initiative has run for 12 years with 192 available programs at community sites. |
