Abstrakt: The article focuses on the author's views about women battering. Battering is cyclical in nature. The cycle of violence consists of three stages: the tension-building phase, the violent episode and the period of loving contrition. In the early stages of battering relationships, the transition between the violent episode and the period of loving contrition often involves the battered woman's temporary departure from her home.
