Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on the kind of education that the illiterate prisoners at the Ohio Penitentiary School received. Major J. N. Easton, superintendent of prison schools reorganized the school and the course of study. Majority of the prisoners considered school attendance as a privilege. The school is divided into two sections with corresponding graded classification. |
