The article comments on the style of English poet Geoffrey Chaucer as a satirist in his general prologue to the book "Canterbury Tales." It asserts that its method of satire seem to have an inevitability and rightness which preclude either surprise of analysis. It further points out the vitality and variety of Chaucer's style and methods of satire. |
