The authors discuss studies that established low-dose cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) protocols for various indications in pediatric patients. These include development of an optimized protocol for the anterior maxillary region developed by J. A. Hidalgo Rivas and colleagues, an optimized protocol for pediatric scans in general determined by A. C. Oenning and colleagues, and various combinations of kV and mA for pediatric scans in general tested by D. M. Brasil and colleagues. |
