The article presents information about oblique rectangular sharp-crested weir. Sharp-crested weirs are widely used as one of the efficient and simple flow measurement devices in hydraulics, irrigation and environmental projects. Among discharge flow meters, the rectangular sharp-crested weir is one of the most popular and accurate, as well as being easy to work with. The oblique weir can be used easily and precisely as a discharge meter device, with less water head than a plain weir. The discharge for an oblique weir can be found using the standard discharge equation for a rectangular sharp-crested weir with an effective weir length. |
