The current study aimed to reveal the effectiveness of a counseling program based on the theory of multi-method therapy (BASIC-ID) by Arnold Lazarus, for the purpose of improving marital skills and revealing the continuity of improvement in the scores of the participants in the study. The researcher used the quasi-experimental approach and a onegroup design, and the exploratory sample consisted of This population calculated the psychometric properties of the study scale from a random group of (30) newly married women, then applied the scale to an available sample of (64) newly married women, and their chronological ages ranged between (25-29) with an arithmetic mean of (26.9) and a deviation Standard (2.82) The program was implemented within a month and three weeks, with three sessions per week, and the researcher used study tools on a guidance program consisting of (20) sessions (prepared by the researcher), and a measure of marital communication skills (prepared by Al-Balawi, 2019), and the study population represents all newly married women in the governorate. Onaizah, the beneficiaries of the services of the Charitable Society for Facilitating Marriage and Family Care "Taalouf" for the year 2023 AD, amounting to approximately (1,200). The results resulted in statistically significant differences between the average ranks of the scores of the pre-measurement and the post-measurement in favor of the post-measurement on the marital communication skills scale in all its five dimensions. These include: (communicating with oneself, managing marital problems, emotional expression, listening and speaking, managing emotions), There were no statistically significant differences between the average scores of the post-measurement and the follow-up measurement on the marital communication skills scale and all its five dimensions. The study concluded that the counseling program based on multi-method therapy applied to the study sample was effective in improving marital skills, and the persistence and continuity of its effect even a month after its completion.
