Design optimization of reentrant auxetic tube using multiobjective Lichtenberg algorithm based on metamodelling.

Abstrakt: The authors performed the optimizations of an auxetic tube considering different structural responses: mass, critical buckling load, natural frequency, Poisson's ratio, and maximum compression load compression. The response surface methodology was applied to generate a metamodeling with a set of non-linear equations. All data were generated via numerical modeling after experimental validation. The Lichtenberg Algorithm was used to find the best possible configurations. This paper shows something unprecedented in the literature when evaluating the static and modal performance of an auxetic tube in a multi-objective problem. The results showed an improvement of up to 43% compared to the initial model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
