Abstrakt: The article "Chemical Components and Antibacterial Properties of Essential Oil from Zingiber densissimum" published in the Chemistry of Natural Compounds journal explores the chemical composition and antibacterial effects of essential oils from Zingiber densissimum, a rare species found in Vietnam. The study isolated essential oils from the leaves and rhizomes of Z. densissimum and identified their chemical components using GC-MS analysis. The rhizome essential oil exhibited antibacterial activity against all tested strains, with the highest inhibition observed against Bacillus cereus ATCC 11774. The research was conducted by a team of authors from the University of Science, VNU-HCM, Vietnam, and was funded by the university. [Extracted from the article]
