Abstrakt: Abrasive Jet Machining (AJM) is a process for removing material from a workpiece using a nozzle to fire a high-speed jet of abrasive particles mixed with a gas medium into the workpiece. The process involved in the removal of material is mainly erosion. Cutting, machinery, and brittle material texture are only a few of the present and potential applications of AJM technology in several manufacturing industries as well as R&D sectors. It is used in debarring, shot peening, erosion inspection, rapid washing, site preparation, and polishing, and is one of the most flexible material processing techniques. The technology industry continues to be influenced by AJM. The current article represents the influence of process variables on response characteristics of AJM during machining of different workpieces along with the summerize critical study of literature review. New features and processes such as periodic, submerged, and thermally aided jets, as well as other jet conditions, have been suggested. The technological benefits of AJM and the various mechanical applications in the various industries where AJM is used are examined in this paper. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
