A study conducted at Lomonosov Moscow State University focused on identifying optimal criteria for diagnosing iron deficiency in patients with chronic heart failure (CHF). The research analyzed data from 498 CHF patients, comparing different diagnostic criteria for iron deficiency. The study found that patients diagnosed with iron deficiency based on specific criteria showed varying clinical and functional impairments, suggesting the need for individualized treatment approaches. Further research on the effects of iron supplementation in these patients is recommended. [Extracted from the article] |
