A recent study conducted in Wenzhou, China, focused on analyzing the antimicrobial resistance, virulence factors, and genetic diversity of Salmonella strains isolated from various sources in the region. The research revealed the presence of aminoglycoside resistance genes in all samples, with over half showing resistance to commonly used antibiotics. The study also highlighted the genetic correlations among different strains and emphasized the importance of molecular traceability for Salmonella in shaping public health policies.
