An Efficient Synthesis of Novel Semicarbazones and Their Biological Activities.

Abstrakt: The article discusses the synthesis of novel semicarbazones and their biological activities, including antimicrobial properties. The study focuses on the preparation of semicarbazones with improved biological activity, achieved through ultrasonic irradiation and a simple solvent system. The compounds showed promising antibacterial activities, particularly (E)-2-(1-(3-chloro-4-fluorophenyl)ethylidene)-N-(2-chlorophenyl)hydrazine-1-carboxamide (4e), which exhibited good activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Molecular docking studies provided insights into the compounds' binding interactions with DNA gyrase, suggesting potential for further research on antimicrobial compounds.
