Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of a 73-year-old male with oxygen-dependent Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), severe obstructive sleep apnea, and heart failure, admitted for a COPD exacerbation triggered by a cold. Topics include using point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to assess diaphragmatic function, M-mode imaging for measuring diaphragmatic excursion, and identifying rhinovirus as a cause of unilateral diaphragmatic paralysis, complicating respiratory management.
