A recent study conducted at the Autonomous University of the State of Mexico explored the short-term breathing rate asymmetry (BRA) of women in labor with severe and moderate pre-eclampsia compared to normotensive women. The research found significant differences in BRA, indicating potential modifications in the autonomic control of breathing rate and breathing instability in women with severe pre-eclampsia. This study sheds light on the complexities of hypertensive disorders like pre-eclampsia and their impact on cardiorespiratory changes during pregnancy. [Extracted from the article] |
