A recent study conducted by Harbin Medical University in China analyzed the epidemiological characteristics and epidemic situation of children with Kashin-Beck Disease (KBD) from 1990 to 2023. The research found that the prevalence of KBD in children decreased significantly over the years, reaching 0% since 2019. While the elimination standard has been achieved in monitored areas, the study suggests that adult KBD patients still require policy consideration and care. This peer-reviewed research provides valuable insights into the surveillance and control measures for KBD in China. [Extracted from the article] |
