This article, published in the journal JCEM Case Reports, discusses a case of adrenal hemangioma in a 69-year-old man with a history of melanoma and prostate cancer. The patient presented with a left adrenal mass that was initially suspected to be metastasis due to its atypical imaging features. However, after a negative hormonal evaluation, a tissue biopsy revealed a hemangioma. Adrenal hemangiomas are rare, benign tumors that can be misdiagnosed as pheochromocytoma or metastasis. The diagnosis is usually made through tissue sampling or surgical resection. [Extracted from the article] |
